For some reason, old-school birdcages are utterly romantic to me. These candle holders are gorgeous and unique. The design is so vintage, and the connotations of trapping an otherwise wild animal behind wrought-iron? Reminds me of passionate poems from Medevil lovers or something, talking about how their hearts are caged with pain and so-and-so has set them free… and then filling the cage with a burning candle would be like putting their equally-as-burning passion in prison and… what? Too far?
