I love wine, but I know very little about its culture. Apparently, the “decanting” process of wine (wherein you pour it from the bottle into another container in order to prevent crystallized sediments from floating around in your adult grape juice) was perfected in Spain. And in Spain, wine doesn’t go from bottle to decanter to glass– but instead, from bottle to decanter to mouth. I appreciate this for two reasons: one, it creates fewer dirty dishes to address; and two, it makes for one less thing standing between me and my drink. This hand-crafted glass porron wine decanter/ pitcher was designed in the Spanish tradition, and the spout pours a thin and delicious stream of wine directly down your throat with minimal air contact (best for the taste). Perfect gift for the wine lover or adventurous boozer.
