For the wonderfully morbid folks in your life, it’s often difficult to find a thank you/ birthday/ invitation type card that not only fits the event, but appeals to their personality. That’s why we love Edward Gorey– his pencil-sketched, dark and often creepy artwork have pleased the gloomy children within us for years. His “children’s books” are anything but, with their themes of death and monsters– but are attractive in the same way that Tim Burton films and ghost stories always are.
