It was raining, it was early, I was freezing. I go to get into my car to go to work, shove the key into the ignition, turn it, and…
nothing.
Nothing happened. At all. No noises, no lights, and apparently? No battery. Woke up the boy. Tried to jump the car. Nothing. Decided I needed to remove the battery to take it to a mechanic. But guess what? I didn’t know how to do that. Also didn’t know where to look to see if it might have been the alternator, or the alternator belts. Wasn’t actually aware that alternators had belts that can rot off.
Basically? It sucked. And my dearest readers, I really don’t want this to happen to you. But if it does? I would really like you to know what the heck to do. So buy this book. It’s easy to read and understand, it’s cheap, and it could save your a**. Or if not that, at least provide some direction and keep you from doing what I did, which was to stand in the rain screaming at the hood of my car while kicking the license plate.
Oh and? Guys tend to think it’s pretty cool when chicks know a thing or two about car mechanics. Awesome.
