Even though it’s a social restriction that not everyone adheres to, being virtually hairless is a trend that most ladies follow with great diligence–myself included. The coming-of-age initiation into womanhood is something that most little girls look forward to from the first time they spot mommy’s Bic in the shower and try to use it on the cat (Ok, maybe that was just me).
With the exception of my eyebrows and head, my straight razor has pretty much hit every inch of my skin since I was 11 years old. I got so excited the first time I realized that I could and should shave my arms that I had most of my junior high teachers worried that I was attempting to take my own life, but just going about it wrong.
And although most girls get the hang of the blade mid-high school, there are still occasions where straight razors will catch on your skin and leave you bloody. And since not everyone can afford and/ or stand getting waxed every two weeks, it’s nice to know that technology has finally advanced enough that there are electric razors in the world that you (a) don’t have to steal from your dad, and (b) don’t leave behind a half-inch of stubble regardless of how hard you press the damn thing into your skin.
The Panasonic Wet & Dry Electric Shaver has the sharpest blades of any ladies electric razor on the market, and is contoured to give curves a safe, comfy and super-close shave. It’s fully immersible so you don’t have to take it apart to clean it, and it’s hypoallergenic to protect sensitive skin. Plus, it comes with a pop-out bikini line shaper (awesome!) for hyper-sensitive hairy places.
