Remember way back when, how if someone gave you a mix tape, it was like the coolest thing you owned? I mean, they made practically an entire MOVIE admonishing the social importance of the mix tape (hello, High Fidelity! And yes, I’m aware that it was a book first). And then later, it was all about mix CDs, which were awesome because you could put more songs on them, but not awesome in that you could only do it once– no dubbing– because they hadn’t come up with the CD-RW yet? And now, with all of the iPods and streaming music, both concepts have become sort of obsolete because you can just email someone a playlist you created for them online?
Yeah, well…all of that is still true.
BUT thankfully, in a tribute to simpler times and bitchin’ designs, the kids at MakeAMixa created the Mix Tape USB Memory Stick. Using their website, you can customize your own tape stick (does that sound dirty?) and case, using retro colors, unique stickers and fancy fonts. Follow the MIXA creed here, and “undigital your digital.”
OR, you can pick up the less expensive version on Amazon for just $19.99.
