For a number of reasons, it has been a really long time since I’ve felt my feet.

This is what I get for 17 years of ballet and a penchant for incredibly uncomfortable (adorable!) shoes. And although I’ve tried the Dr. Scholl’s For Her inserts, I prefer the Foot Petals, because at least they aren’t so cushtastic that I can’t even get my foot in the flippin’ shoe.

Maybe now I can justify getting those four-inch, peep-toe, calendar girl stilettos I’ve been eyeing, yes? Or at the very least, I will no longer have to skulk off to the dark corner of the dancefloor to cry in secret over my screaming little footies.
