It’s a place for chicks to find the stuff they want, handpicked by other women. We’re also hoping this site becomes a resource for the men and significant others that buy us gifts. (Why leave them in the dark when we can give them one perfect resource?)

Are you certain it’s a woman selecting these items? It seems these are still the items men “think” we want. The only item that comes close to being an item I’d choose for myself is the Elements of Style book. And even that wouldn’t make for a great gift, but rather and item I’d select for myself.
Sorry for the brutal honestly. I was planning to link to you and promote the site, but it seems that these items are still as far off base as you could imagine.

Ah, there’s a bit of a problem, you see. We’re people. (I know, I know – such extreme feminist statements are sooo last century.) And, being people, we tend to have individual preferences and desires, instead of coming with a predefined set bundled with the female reproductive system
Seriously, though – if you want to give your lover/partner/spouse/friend/sibling a good gift, *get to know them* as a person. Ask questions, spend time together, think about each other. Communicate.
